The Northlake Public Library District will be operating under holiday hours next week. On Wednesday, November 22, the library will be open 9am to 5pm. The library will be closed Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The library will re-open Saturday, November 25, following regular hours.
Having trouble with a computer issue? We’re here to help! Simply call or stop by the Adult Reference desk and make an appointment with a librarian for some one-on-one assistance. We can cover software like MS Office, help you with e-mail, assist with basic computer instruction, tablet or smartphone issues, or even help you with a research strategy for a school project.
For grades 1-8. Enjoy a challenging game of chess. Beginning, intermediate and advanced players are welcome. Bring your own set or use one of ours. Members of Leyden H.S. Chess Club will be our instructors. Space is limited; register here.

Celebrate the start of the new school year at our Back to School Party. Students of all ages are invited to stop by for free pizza, games, and a special guest presentation of Juggling Funny Stories with Chris Fascione. Saturday, September 9, from 12pm to 2pm.
The Northlake Public Library District will now automatically renew your materials. Here’s how it works: two days before an item is due, if there are no holds on the item and it’s eligible to be renewed, it will be automatically renewed. If you have questions or need more details, please feel free to ask a librarian!
The Northlake Public Library District will be closed Sundays through the summer, until after the Labor Day weekend. Regular Sunday hours will resume on September 10, 2017.
